Husband and Wife have Gastric Band surgery in France.
My Husband and I ( Jane and Barry H.) had our Gastric Band fitted by the Laser Clinics (France) Ltd. in Le Havre FranceWe were worried at first about sending money abroad to have gastric band surgery in a different country, however after many conversations over the telephone with Tullia Law we decided to take a chance because Tullia had been so lovely putting both of our minds at ease, plus, with the cost of the gastric band surgery being half the price of England we took the step and went for it. I am so pleased we did make the decision because everything Tullia had said was correct. Our Hotel was clean and comfortable, The Breakfast in the Hotel had everything from a full hot breakfast to cereals, muffins, and more. Taxis were laid on for us to and from the Hospital. The Hospital itself was fantastic, where we even had our own private room with on suite facilities (when would this ever happen in a UK NHS Hospital !!).
The staff in the Hospital (and Hotel) were all friendly and explained the whole procedure to us, not once were we in any doubt what was happening, and even after the gastric band surgery we were both looked after to a very high standard.
We both loved the fact that our surgeon/doctor spoke English to us and also visited us on our last day at the hotel to check us over before we drove back to England.I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone of my friends or family for affordable gastric band surgery as I think there service was second to none, in fact one of my friend will be speaking to Tullia in the next couple of days as she has seen how well Barry and I have been doing since our return. A Gastric Band Testimonial from Lisa
I had my Gastric band Surgery on the 7th of May 2014
Thank you so much Tullia for organising my Gastric band operation and the outstanding care I have received. When organising the gastric band operation and paying for it before I had seen anyone face to face I was a bit worried. But it felt right and I went ahead with it anyway, thankfully any questions I had Tullia would reassure me and inform me of what I needed to know. So my gastric band surgery operation was booked and the money was paid in full up front. We flew to France on Sunday the 4th of May (a day earlier then what people normally do) due to that day being the only day my partner and me could fly in Tullia organised the extra night staying at the hotel for me with no problems and I paid for the extra night to the hotel once I got there. So on the flight on Sunday I started to panic and wondering if someone was going to be there to pick us up, and” oh my god this is really happening”. Me and my partner arrived at the airport in Paris, and the mini bus driver was there waiting for us holding our names up so we knew where to go. We got on the mini bus and there were another couple in the mini bus with us (they didn’t get out at our hotel though) and it drove us to the hotel. The drive took just over 2 hours. Once we settled into the Novotel Hotel Tullia phoned to make sure I had arrived and to tell me when the taxi was coming to get me and my partner the next day to go to the hospital for my gastric band consultation. My partner and went for a wonder around in the shopping centre in Le Harve . We had dinner in one of the restaurant it was lovely and after went into the hotels hot tub, steam room and sauna. On the Monday 5th May we went down for breakfast which was very nice. The taxi wasn’t picking us up till 2.00pm so we caught the little train down to the beach and the Sea front. We strolled along the front and had an ice cream. Then went back to Hotel to wait for our taxi. There were two other couples waiting for their individual taxis too. On the way to the hospital I thought to myself what happens if the hospitals dirty or not a real hospital, but when arriving at the hospital and going inside it was spotless and modern and a proper hospital. Me and my partner and the other two couples got completely lost. There wasn’t anything written in English to tell us were to go so we asked staff and they took us from one part of the hospital to the other. Eventually we found where we were suppose to be. Dr B. was waiting for us and took me and my partner in first. He spoke very good English and explained what was going to happen and answer any questions I had for him about my Gastric band operation. After seeing him I had my pre administration checks done and bloods taken. Next I saw the anaesthetist and he told me what his part in my gastric band operation would be. Then we got the taxi back to the Hotel. We stayed in the bar for a while with the other two couples then went back down by the beach for dinner. On the Tuesday the 6th we our free day, we went to Paris and had an amazing day there. That night I stopped eating at 12.
Day of Gastric band operation 7th May.I woke at 6.00am and was so nervous. The taxi picked me up at 6.30 and I was at the hospital by 7.00am. The other two couples were there and we all wished each other luck. I was taken to my private room it was spotless and there was a bed in there for my partner to stay over with me too which I was so happy about. The nurses were very nice and spoke some English, sometimes we got a bit confused but eventually we would understand what each other were saying. The carers handed me a towel, gown, flannel and some brown liquid soap, then they showed me to the shower room and told me to wash in the brown liquid from head to toe. After I had done that and was back in my room wrist bands were put on my wrists and all other paper work filled in. They checked my blood pressure and temperature and the nurse brought me a tablet to take to relax me before surgery. I didn’t have to wait long and I was taking down to theatre. All the staff said hello and were lovely, they assured me that everything was going to be ok. The anaesthetic was administrated and I drifted off. When I came around I did feel some pain and told the nurses and they upped my pain medication to make me feel comfortable. I was taken back to my room for a bit then down for an X-ray . Then for the rest of the hospital stay I slept or watched my laptop or spoke to my partner. I was feeling in pain and a bit sick and a strong pain in my shoulders but told the nurse and they kept topping up my meds to make me comfortable. Dr B. came to visit me in the morning and check my belly he taught me how to inject myself with the injections which I would have to take for the next few days. He then wished me well and after breakfast of black tea and a little bit of dry toast, a shower, my dressing changed and tablets given to me to take away with me I left the hospital and went to the hotel. I slept most of the day and night in the Hotel . Tullia had kindly ordered me some soup at 7pm. In the morning a nurse came to the Hotel to check my stitches and everything was going well. Then I was ready to fly home. Since being at home I’ve had a little bit of pain but not much. I get a pain in my left shoulder whilst eating, I have googled why this is happening and apparently it is normal if a person with a gastric band eats to much or to quick. (follow the gastric band Diet) Everything else is going well and I’m happy. Tullia has rung to check if I’m ok so the after care I have received is fantastic .
I had my first weighing and I’ve already lost nearly a stone in 2weeks.I would highly recommend anyone having Affordable Gastric Band Surgery to have it done with this company. Thanks again Tullia From Lisa N *“Results are not guaranteed and will vary from person to person“

Gastric Band Testimonial from Michelle JGastric band surgery 10th March 2014 Hi Tullia. I have been overweight for most of my adult life, after having three children and giving up work to care for them my weight escalated to 135kg/21 stone. I had tried and failed at weight watchers, slimming world, and any other fad diets I set my heart on that month. It was just after Christmas (January 2014) that I considered weight loss surgery. I trawled the internet reading the pro’s and con’s of each procedure and reading about patients that had undergone gastric band surgery and all their success stories. I decided that surgery definitely was for me and I wanted the adjustable gastric band. I knew that because I lived in Wales that the NHS Gastric Band Criteria is not funded freely and I would be sure to have a minimum 3 years wait on the list, so privately really was my only option.
I again went online looking for affordable gastric band surgery cost.I found that the surgery I wanted would cost around £6000 in this country and I was upset to think that this way out of my league. I eventually stumbled on the French cosmetic surgery website and began reading the testimonials from other patients. The price was attractive and everyone commented on how ‘looked after’ they felt. I initially thought the whole thing was maybe a scam as it seemed to good to be true! I decided I had nothing to lose but to fill in the online inquiry form…. This is where my journey began. A short while later I received a call from Tullia, she is French but speaks very good English. She asked me some health questions and talked me through the whole procedure and explained that the hotel was included in the price, and that I could take someone with me. I had already set my mind on the operation and at this stage I wasn’t a bit nervous, I was just anxious to get it done and start my new slimmer life. We talked about some dates and I worked out when was good for me so I could arrange childcare. We set a date for the second week in March. Tullia explained that I would need to do a bank transfer prior to my operation, I was a little nervous about paying up front without seeing anyone first, but I sorted it out which was straightforward and I received an email from Tullia to say she had received the fax from my bank confirming payment. I arrived at the 4* Novotel in Le Havre on Monday 10th March which incidentally is just a ten minute walk from the ferry port. Me and my friend were greeted at reception and given our key card. The hotel was lovely, clean plush and friendly. We relaxed in our room, showered and changed. Our taxi was coming at 2.30 to take us to the hospital so we went down to it. Bang on time a taxi arrived, he was friendly and drove us to the hospital which was about 15 min away from the hotel. An English song came on the radio and we all started singing! He dropped us off at the entrance and showed us which way to go. We were directed to the consulting rooms. A nurse showed us in to a room, weighed me and checked my height and asked us to wait a little while for the doctor. There was no long waiting in a crowded waiting room, we were dealt with straight away. Dr B.B entered the room who spoke good English and we talked through my health and previous operations etc. He seemed really nice and straight away I felt reassured that I was in safe hands. I was then taken to have blood tests, again no waiting! Straight in, nurses took my blood and was then seen by the anesthetist. When that was completed, a taxi was called I was told that I had Tuesday off and 6.30am Wednesday a taxi would take me to the hospital. We spent the free day in Le Havre, we walked around and had lunch at a Turkish restaurant. The morning of the gastric band operation came, again we went down early for the Taxi and it arrived exactly on time. We went to the ward and the nurses welcomed me to my own private en suite room, straight away they were there filling out my wrist bands and signing consent forms it all became real then. I was told to shower in a brown liquid which I think is procedure there to ensure you are really clean prior to surgery. At 8 am two porters came to collect me, I was taken down to operating theatre and went through another few checks. Dr B was there and patted my shoulder as I went to sleep. I was in a lot of pain when I came around in recovery but the nurses quickly set up a drip for pain relief. I was taken back to the ward with my friend and nurses came in and out frequently to check on me. I was given more pain relief and I had a glucose drip, I was sleepy but also being very sick. Dr B was called and he prescribed an anti sickness which worked a treat. I felt like I had been punched and kicked in my stomach but overall I felt OK. On Thursday morning I was taken to radiology to have an x-ray of my gastric band and port, this was needed for my aftercare and fills in the UK which I will need to take with me. I was discharged from the hospital and a taxi came to take us back to the hotel, I was still sore but Dr B had given me pain killers to ease any discomfort. We had a restful afternoon and my friend went down for Jacuzzi and sauna, I went along but just chilled out in the loungers. At tea time there was a knock on the door, room service! Tullia had ordered and soup and yogurt for me, I was shocked but welcomed this as I hadn’t eaten anything since Tuesday. The soup was delicious, the nicest I have ever tried. I managed 3 spoons until I was full, I couldn’t believe I couldn’t manage anymore! The Friday was my day of departure, in the morning Dr B came and checked me over to ensure the gastric band was OK, he gave me a box of anti clotting injections which I had to use everyday for 10 days. He showed me how to inject myself and wished me a safe journey home. So back home now and i’ve had my 11 stitches out, I was mainly on liquid diet but gradually eating a little more soft solids. I’m managing a few spoons of mashed potato or yogurt and drinking plenty of water. I was weighed 10 days after gastric band surgery and I was shocked to see that I had already lost 1 stone 8lb! This experience has changed my whole life and I am so thankful to Tullia and Dr B for giving me back my life, everything was taken care of and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Tullia rang me the weekend after my gastric band surgery and I honestly couldn’t thank her enough.
If anyone has any doubts about gastric band surgery or this company, please don’t. It’s a credible company and I would recommend this company to any of my friends or family.Michelle J. age 35, South Wales. *“Results are not guaranteed and will vary from person to person“ also check our website for :- Gastric Bypass Surgery Gastric Sleeve surgery Gastric balloon Surgerygastric band oxford

Gastric Band date 31st May 2013Hi Tullia, I wanted to thank you and especially Dr B for your great support all through the Gastric band operation. I have lost over 2 stones in 5 months without contributing much to exercise and healthy diet. Due to my hectic lifestyle – very long hours in the office seating at the computer and family commitments, I was not able to take appropriate care of my diet and exercise regime and still I have been loosing weight. I could have easily piled on those 2 stones by now if it was not for the gastric banding procedure. I feel improvement in my condition – I experience less back pain and I feel more energetic. I am in general more able to cope with everyday tasks at work and at home. Thank you very much for your kind attitude and professional approach. I will keep in touch in future to keep you updated on my progress. I am joining a Gym from next month and plan to become more efficient with my diet. Kind regards. A Gastric Band Surgery Testimonial from L Donald
Gastric Band Surgery September 2013Due to a sporting injury I could no longer exercise to maintain a steady weight, so I attempted a bunch of diet plans unsuccessfully. I then purchased diet pills from the internet, again, unsuccessful in maintaining a healthy weight. The time had now come to look at the surgical option. After days and weeks of research I found the Gastric Band France website. More research followed to dispel any concerns I had and eventually made contact via email initially and received a call from Tullia in France. She fully explained the process from start to finish. There was no hard sell, the decision was mine alone and I felt totally at ease with the whole approach. Furthermore, I contacted someone who had previously had gastric band surgery a few months prior and they were most helpful and fully endorsed going to Le Harve. The cost for gastric banding surgery was more than half the UK cost which considering everyting which is included :-
- 4 star hotel for 2 people. (Client and Companion.)
- All operation costs and hospital stay.
- Taxi’s to and from your consultation pre-op and post-op.
- A visit to your hotel by the Consultant post op.
